Digital Camera Systems OM Adapters

AI-3M/4M AK-1M/SM-R These adapters allow you to connect industrial fiberscopes or rigid borescopes to selected Olympus digital SLR cameras or mirrorless ones*1. This makes it easy to transfer images to a computer and for creating archives of inspection histories. *1: The optional OM adapter MF-1 or MF-2 is required to connect the OM adapters listed below to the digital SLR cameras or mirrorless ones.

Notes: Magnification of the AI-4M 1.3x larger than the AI-3M. / Magnification of the AK-1M is 1.8x larger than the SM-R.
*Moire may appear if pixel interference occurs in certain inspection environments. (such as fiber mesh and CCDs) or in certain output devices (such as LCDs and printers)

C-mount CCD camera

By connecting a CCD camera to fiberscopes or Boresopes, the images will be displayed on a video monitor and recorded for further analysis and archiving. This also allows for group viewing of inspection images, saving time, user fatigue and improving the decision making process.

A wide range of standard Rigid borescopes are available featuring various diameters, working length, viewing directions and angles. The stainless steel insertion tube is usable at temperature between -20°C and 150°C.

Standard Rigid Borescopes are available in a wide range of diameters, working lengths, direction of view and field of view (magnification). The stainless steel insertion tube usable at temperature between -20℃ and 150℃ (-4 to 302°F). Close to 200 models available featuring various diameters, working length, and viewing directions and field of view (magnification).
Video recording and photography are available by connecting a CCD camera or the Olympus digital camera.

Sophisticated optical system

Olympus is renowned for optical innovation and the standard borescope is no exception. Each diameter of borescope has it own lens system design, optimized to the available space. Multi-layer lens coating is used to reduce internal reflections and maximize image brightness and contrast.

Orbital Scan

Especially useful when the borescope is clamped or being used in conjunction with CCTV, this feature allows the insertion tube to be rotated a full 370 degrees without affecting the orientation of the control body or accessories attached to the eyepiece.

High-grade stainless steel insertion tube

Ensures a durable, corrosion free, fluid resistant, outer protective sheath.

Laser welded tip

Significantly reduces the possibility of tip detachment for safe, trouble free inspections.

Ergonomically designed control body

A comfortable and functional control body design has always been a hallmark of Olympus borescopes. The Series 5 design further enhances this and integrates all controls, placing them within easy reach for true single handed operation.

Color coded identification ring

The serial number and model reference are engraved in the eyepiece ring. This is also color coded to indicate the borescope direction of view.

Lens to fiber ratio

While large lenses provide bright, clear images in ambient lighting conditions, the overall result in an actual inspection is far more dependant on the light transmission performance of the instrument. Series 5 achieves a precise balance of lenses and fibers for superb image brightness.
