6.5 Typical Screen Display Information
Contemporary flaw detectors can provide a variety of measurement readouts as an aid to identifying and documenting the location of reflectors. These include the amplitude of gates echoes, sound path length and depth/distance measurements, and leg indicators. With proper calibration, depth/distance measurements can be accurate to +/- 0.1 mm (0.004"). Horizontal displays can be scaled with respect to sound path length or leg/skip distances.
