Katie has been helping customers at Olympus for over 11 years. Katie is passionate about customer service and she has spent her career making customers, lives easier. Get to know her more below!

Question: What drew you to customer service?

Answer: Working in the restaurant industry before Olympus, I knew helping customers was my passion!

Q: What do you find most rewarding about customer service?

A: Not having to hear back from a customer until they are ready to order again! This means my job was done correctly and they are satisfied.

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work?

A: Spend time with all my animals! I have 4 cats, 6 snakes, and a turtle

Q: What’s something your customers and coworkers don’t know about you?

A: I went to college on a volleyball scholarship and after college continued being involved in the sport by coaching a Junior Olympic and JV high school team.

Q: Can you think of a particularly satisfying time when you helped a customer?

A: There was a start-up company that was purchasing a bunch of our equipment to set up a lab. Since they didn’t have many past transactions on their credit history we were struggling to extend payment terms for such a large purchase. I remember working with both brothers who owned the company on a daily basis to get as much information as I could from them to help the situation and not lose the sale. They were wonderful to work with and understood my side of the situation. When it was finally approved to move forward on both sides, they called me directly to thank me for all my time and effort. I got to find out why they were buying our equipment and the projects they had lined up. It was amazing to be able to support a start-up company and get them rolling in our market. I know they will be coming back to Olympus in the future, and that is the most satisfying part!
