We are here to help

Olympus is still here, working hard to help you with your business needs that may be rapidly changing. Our sales, applications, rentals, and repair teams are here for you.

We’re offering the following to help support you during these challenging times.

Virtual Demos

While on-site demos are on hold, our team is still working hard to provide you with helpful information and content. We developed a virtual demo program for our microscopes and imaging systems that can be conducted with our team using video conferencing tools. To set up a virtual demo, or to discuss any questions, reach out to your local representative.

Olympus shares your concerns about COVID-19 and is working hard to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all Olympus stakeholders, which is our top priority.

Olympus is regularly monitoring the global developments around the COVID-19 pandemic and has set up a global task force to ensure business continuity. The health and safety of our employees, our customers, and our global communities are extremely important to us. Although we do not foresee any short-term impact to manufacturing or the supply chain at this time, we are continually assessing our situation and will promptly inform stakeholders about changes whenever appropriate.

While offices in China slowly start resuming regular operation, many offices in other Asian countries, Americas, and in EMEA are working in shifts and/or from home where applicable. Manufacturing sites, field force and repair centers have taken precautionary measures but will continue operating regularly until further notice. To minimize employees’ potential exposure to this virus, Olympus globally made the decision to restrict all international business travel for the time being. This travel restriction will remain in place until further notice and restrictions are subject to change based on the evolving situation.

We recognize that government guidance around the world varies by location and in some instances is more strict than Olympus’ global guidance. In those cases, the local guidance takes precedence.

We are fully committed to keep all stakeholders up to date as needed and strictly follow guidance by national authorities, leading associations or the Financial Instruments Exchange in Japan.

Business Continuity Policy

Olympus can confirm that it has plans in place to ensure every effort is made to operate with minimal interruptions in the event of a disaster.

Our Business Continuity Management Policy has been established to define structure and authority, ensure business resilience of key products and services, organize efforts to manage through a disruption when the need arises, and quickly and safely resume business operations after a disruption.

Additionally, our Crisis Management Policy sets forth the requirements and minimum levels of achievement necessary for crisis management governance over all entities within Olympus.

Finally, the company’s Disaster Recovery Plan ensures that a disaster recovery capability is in place for business critical applications and services and is tested sufficiently for its ability to service Olympus customers in the event of a disaster.

The safety and well-being of our employees, customers and communities are a top priority.
