Unboxing the Vanta™ XRF Analyzer: What Accessories Come in the Kit?

If you’ve purchased (or are considering) the Vanta handheld XRF analyzer for your elemental analysis needs, you might be curious about all the accessories that come in the box. Watch our recent unboxing video or review the list below to see what’s included with the analyzer.

The Vanta kit includes:

1. Rugged case

Vanta analyzers come in a durable, hard-shell case to protect the instrument and its accessories as you travel to different sites for analysis.

2. Vanta handheld XRF analyzer

Depending on which Vanta model you purchased, your instrument may be blue, yellow, or orange.

3. Two batteries

  • One battery goes in the analyzer’s handle and is secured with the battery cap
  • The spare battery provides a quick backup, so your analyzer is always charged and ready for analysis

4. Docking station

The docking station can be used to hold the instrument, charge the battery in the handle, and charge your spare battery. Note that Vanta Element™ and Vanta Element-S models (our affordable XRF line) come with an external battery charger instead of the docking station.

5. AC power adaptor and cord

There will also be an AC power adaptor and cord. Use the power cord for the docking station or plug it into the Vanta analyzer directly.

6. USB cable

The USB cable is a useful tool for data export.

7. Wireless LAN adaptor

To get the most out of your Vanta analyzer, make sure to locate the wireless LAN adaptor. It enables your instrument to connect to the Internet for software updates and wireless data management. Once the adaptor is set up, connect to the Olympus Scientific Cloud™ (OSC) to access free cloud-based features and apps like the Vanta Data Viewer.

8. microSD™ card

The industrial microSD card offers 1 GB of data storage.

9. Replacement windows

Note that window type will vary depending on the instrument model purchased.

10. Reference samples

Some models will include reference samples for applications like lead paint, RoHS compliance, or geochemical analysis.

11. USB flash drive

The USB flash drive comes loaded with the instrument software, PC software, and digital manuals. It can also be used for data management. Simply place the USB flash drive in the top of the analyzer to export results or PDF reports directly to the USB.

12. Documentation

The kit also includes the Getting Started Guide and Calibration Certificate specific to your instrument, so set these important documents aside for future reference.
