Conventional ultrasound solutions have a long and well established history in a variety of NDT markets, but improvements in this core inspection technique are often misunderstood or ignored. Digital technology advancements have greatly enhanced pulser and receiver design in modern flaw detectors, and increased computing power have improved onboard and integrated reporting capabilities. This Webinar will examine these and other key evolutionary steps in conventional solutions and the resulting potential benefits to manufacturers, asset owner/operators and service providers. Attendees will learn the primary benefits of features such as tunable square wave pulsing, digital filtering, and digital data reporting capabilities. These common tools allow a significant increase in inspection quality and efficiency without compromises to the ease of use of flaw detector instrumentation.

Presenter:
Coleman Flanagan is the Senior Product Manager for Ultrasound and Phased Array Flaw Detectors. He has over 10 years of experience in the NDT industry managing global support, training and resource materials for ultrasound products, and is responsible for the future development of the Olympus ultrasound and phased array flaw detectors.
