TomoView: Detection & Sizing Characterization of PA

Offline data analysis will be systematically conducted using TomoView™ full analysis software utilising pre-prepared complex analysis layouts supplemented by linked sub-layouts. Weld inspection data will be used to explain defect detection principles focussing on weld geometry responses, weld root analysis, fusion face analysis, weld volume analysis & HAZ analysis. A methodical approach will be explained for detection, characterisation and sizing. Flaw characterisation will be taught using pattern recognition concepts linking image formation to defect type and orientation. Flaw sizing will be based on flaw type, ultrasonic resolution, orientation, beam angle and image properties.
This course is aimed at persons using phased array technologies who want to improve the precision of their detection, characterisation & sizing skills and become more confident in using TomoView for critical offline data analysis.
