Introduction to PA, and OmniScan UT and PA

The Introduction to Phased Arrays and OmniScan Ultrasonic and Phased Array course is designed to introduce industrial UT practitioners to the principles of ultrasonic phased arrays and operation/navigation of the OmniScan instrument. The course is paced to provide a challenge for experienced technicians while emphasizing fundamentals of operation and standard practices for all attendees. We recommend that attendees have attained Level 2 or 3 certification in industrial utrasonics prior to attending this course.

Course Content
Eclipse Scientific promotes inspection planning using the acclaimed software packaged ESBeamtool3, developed to target pre-thought. Using this software, inspection techniques are easily developed for successful data acquisition, and a portion of the course includes some time spent using this very beneficial concept. We lead the participant through the operation of the ESBeamtool3 Ultrasonic modeling software in step by step format.
