High Temperature Guide Tube Model MAJ-1867

This accessory guide tube is designed to minimize the temperature restrictions placed on standard videoscopes for gas turbine and other applications where high temperature inspection capabilities may be required.

High temperature guide tube

-Videoscope operation up to 250 degree C (482 F) (*1)
To prevent videoscope damage, often times a cool down period is required after the shut down of engines, boilers and furnaces in order to reduce the internal temperature below 100 degrees C (212 F). The high temperature guide tube accessory however, increases this maximum temperature on the IPLEX LX / FX videoscopes to 250 degrees C (482 F) so this cool down period can be dramatically shortened or even eliminated. This allows inspections of these critical components sooner as well as the ability to inspect areas whose ambient temperatures exceed the 100 degree C (212 F) maximum of the standard videoscope.

-Highly flexible construction
Despite the added temperature protection the high temperature guide tube provides, there is minimal impact the flexibility of the insertion tube and its ability to maneuver through a bent path to the point of inspection. Furthermore, added precautions are taken to ensure the articulation of the videoscope is not compromised due to the addition of the guide tube.

-6.1 mm outer diameter to suitable for aviation gas turbine inspections
The high temperature guide tube, when added to the 4mm diameter IPLEX FX or LX, makes a final outside diameter of just 6.1mm. This makes the system suitable for most standard 6mm videoscope inspections with the added capability of high temperature resistance to tackle applications such as hot aircraft engine inspections. (*2)

-Compressed air cooling system
Utilizing a compressed air cooling system, the high temperature guide tube is significantly lighter and less complex as compared to water circulation based systems. Inspectors of any skill level can easily set up and operate the system.

(*1) Under specific conditions. Olympus does not guarantee perfect functionality in all cases for this temperature range as conditions and product operation can vary. Please contact Olympus for further information.

(*2) Internal inspection area temperature must be < 250 degrees C (482 F)
