The Nortec® 1700 replaces the original Nortec® 17, once the standard in conductivity testing. Once setup is complete, alloys and heat-treated conditions or paint thickness can be checked automatically using the instrument's Go/No-Go alarm. NORTEC® 1700 Technical Specifications
Accuracy: Within ± 0.5% IACS from 0.9% to 62% IACS and within ± 1% of values over 62%. Meets BAC 5651. Conductivity measurements with greater than 10 mils of lift-off have reduced accuracy. Non-Conductive Coating Thickness: Can measure non-conductive coating thickness from 0.00" to 0.025". Accuracy of ± 0.001" over 0.00" to 0.015" range. Alarms: Independent high and low limit alarms can be set for conductivity and lift-off. The alarms can be set to trigger when values are inside the limits (positive) or outside the limits (negative). PowerLink™: Automatic probe recognition.
Hazardous Area Operation: Safe operation in explosive atmospheres as defined by Class 1, Division 2, Group D, as found in the National Fire Protection Association Code 0 (NFPA70), section 500 and tested using MIL-STD-810E, Method 511.3, procedure 1. |
