The Ultrasonic Testing Phased Array (UTPA) Level II course provides the knowledge required to operate phased array equipment and perform manual & encoded phased array testing on welds. The course covers theoretical aspects on phased array application, advantages, limitations and application of phased array as per various codes and standards. Prerequisites

For PCN Level II examination in UTPA, the candidates shall have PCN UT Level II in at least one weld category or UT Level II as per EN 473. For candidates who do not meet the prerequisite for PCN Level II examination in UTPA, they can attend employer based qualification (employer's written practice shall be submitted prior to commencement of the course).

Certification

PCN Level II certification will be issued by BINDT upon successful completion of PCN examination. For other candidates (opting non PCN Examination) Level II certificate based on employer's written practice will be issued by A-Star upon successful completion of examination.
