The SC100 is a 10.6 megapixel digital color camera for microscopy with unsurpassed lateral resolution and true color reproduction capabilities, providing live images with high frame rates, seamlessly integrated into OLYMPUS Stream imaging software.
Capturing 10.6 megapixels with each single snapshots for unprecedented resolution at low magnification
The new 10.6 megapixel CMOS sensor used in the SC100 possesses 1.67 μm pixels which are delivering the best point to point resolution of any digital camera. Coupled with the 5 times magnification UIS2 objective from Olympus range, the obtainable resolution is the theoretical one.
A small pixel does not mean bad sensitivity
Although SC100 owns 1.67 μm pixels size, its sensitivity is comparable to the best CMOS camera available (in single pixel mode). In binning mode the sensitivity is even much better and breaks another barrier in 2.65 megapixel mode (2 times more sensitive than 3 megapixel CMOS cameras).
42 images per seconds for a real, smooth live imaging
At binning 4 times (968 x 686 pixels) the number of frames per seconds is up to 42. Up to 42 frames per seconds can be displayed and acquired in movie files*. Due to its full integration into OLYMPUS Stream, the switch between Live binning mode and single frame high resolution snapshots is completely transparent to the user.

Original patented Olympus True Color mode for high color fidelity
The SC100 benefits from the long experience of Olympus Microscopy in terms of color reproduction and embark the original Olympus True Color reproduction mode for real time ICC color profiling.
The SC100 is supported by the latest OLYMPUS imaging software
OLYMPUS Stream is the latest imaging software from OLYMPUS and the SC100 is an ideal image source for all applications requiring high resolution images (documentation, image processing) but also for dynamic studies (movie recording) and every day work on the microscope (sharing the screen).
