X-5000 Portable XRF Analyzer For Petrochemical Elemental Analysis

The X-5000 analyzer provides accurate determination of trace to % level of elements in fuels, oils, and lubricants. This powerful field portable analytical instrument is used in a wide variety of industries. From identifying elements to determining the actual elemental concentrations present in a variety of matrices; solid, powdered, and liquid samples.

The analytical performance, closed beam safety and ease of use of traditional bench top XRF units are all captured in the X-5000. And it delivers true field portability, being packaged into an easy-to-carry, 22 lb. battery operated XRF with integrated PC and industrialized large touch screen.

The X-5000 sets the benchmark for Performance, Power and Portability.

Key Applications

  • ASTM D4294 Sulfur Analysis
  • Analyze CA, P, Zn, S in Lubricating Oils
  • In addition monitor MO, Ba, Mn
  • Monitoring Wear Metals
  • Fe, V, Pv, Cr, Cu, Sb, Sn, Mo, Ti, Ni, Cd
  • Heavy Fuel Oil analyzed onboard vessels
  • Sulfur content in SOx Emission Control Areas (SECA)
  • Diagnose abnormal wear thru the analysis of wear debris and particulates
  • Mercury and Arsenic contamination in 'tank bottoms' sludge

No sample preparation. Just collect it and analyze.

The unique sample tray ensures proper placement of the sample every time for accurate analysis. The sample tray accommodates both bottles and cups of any size.

X-5000 testing sample

The X-5000 is engineered to be used anywhere - in the field, at the production line, in an inspection area. It ensures operator safety as a fully interlocked, closed beam system. The closed beam, integrated design unique to the X-5000 is a critical safety advancement as portable XRF analyzers continue to increase in x-ray power and be applied to ever more demanding, in-the-field analytical challenges.
