Tauchtechnikschallköpfe werden mit einer Wasservorlaufstrecke oder in einem Tauchtank eingesetzt, in dem der Prüfling teilweise oder ganz eingetaucht ist. Sie arbeiten mit Longitudinalwellen und können mit Rexolite-Vorlaufkeilen für gebeugte Transversalwellen konfiguriert werden.
