Job Summary: This position is an integral part of establishing and championing quality standards, test/inspection methods, process control techniques and quality engineering tools for the company's products and processes. This position will assure quality standards are defined, maintained, understood and adhered to across the R, Engineering, Manufacturing and Service organizations. Job Responsibilities: • Monitor and trend key QUALITY parameters and attributes in RAW MATLS, MFG, and externally in the field. • Determine and organize relevant data collection requirements by process step. • Apply appropriate tools and techniques to determine SPECIFICATIONS and control limits of key attributes. • Determine process capabilities. • Determine root cause of failure modes. • Develop, recommend, and write test methods based upon manufacturing and field data to improve 1st pass yields in key manufacturing steps. • Support lean activities of X-Ray product manufacturing. • Assist in continuous improvement quality initiatives through team meetings. • Participate in the development or improvement of key quality systems, including design control, Preventative and Corrective Actions, complaint handling, calibration, etc.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • Excellent communication and project leadership skills. • Ability to apply tools and techniques to identify, like 8D to root cause of failure and improve first pass process yield. • Analytical, with a strong ability to determine, quantify and solve problems. • Software programming a plus. • Able to balance the needs and prioritize effectively when addressing issues. • Comfortable in a fast paced environment with changing priorities. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • BS in engineering with 10- 5 years combined experience in quality engineering. • Experience with statistical software such as minitab. • Experience with lean initiatives through kaizen events. • Good working knowledge of quality standards and ISO 9001. • Experience in a medium to large organization dealing with regulated products preferred. • Experience with DOE,FMEA,SPC,8D techniques • ITAR Clearance required
